Andreu Lacondeguy

“Ride for life - live to ride”

Faster, bigger, higher: adjectives, that describe Andreu’s riding best. Possibly the sickest mountain biker in the world; definitely the one with the biggest balls. There’s close to nothing you can do on two wheels that the Catalan does not have in the bag. And most importantly there’s (almost) no stunt he doesn’t feel comfortable doing – be that on MTB, BMX or motocross.

Doing that he bagged everything that counts for something in his sport: Crankworx victories in Whistler, at the Vienna Air King, gold medal at the Red Bull Berg Line Event in Winterberg and much more. In 2014 he even laid his hands on the long awaited crown of Rampage, where his sensational first run in the finals set the score so high with 95.25 points, that no other rider was able to trump that.

Andreu, the textbook freerider, rides the TUES in size S. He chooses the spring on the rear shock according to the terrain and changes between a 275 up to a 350. He’ll use a stiff spring for huge jumps like the FEST Series or Rampage, and a softer one when just out shredding trails in the Alps. Compression and rebound always stay the same. In the front he runs a RockShox BoXXer World Cup from SRAM’s black box program. Andreu uses the same set up the whole year and normally uses the standard settings – which is maybe the main difference between him and most other pro riders, who make more adjustments.
